**About the South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL)**:
The South Australian Soccer League (SAASL) is the governing body of amateur soccer in South Australia promoting and developing the amateur game throughout the State.
The SAASL was established in 1965 and is a not-for-profit organisation focused on providing a well-managed, cost-effective competition to our community based and volunteer supported clubs across South Australia.
**The Role**:
As a newly developed role, this is a unique opportunity to join the organisation and make your mark. Using your strong commercial acumen you will provide effective leadership to develop and implement the SAASL Strategic Plan.
**Key duties**:
**Strategic**
- Develop implement and be accountable for the SAASL strategic plan
- Create business plans to achieve the strategic goals
- Work closely with the Board, providing advice and regular reporting
- Oversee and ensure compliance with association policies, procedures, regulations, and practices
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, act, legislation
**Business Development**
- Actively seek further funding and sponsorships for SAASL, including government grants
- Manage opportunities for local, state, and federal grant allocations for the benefit of the SAASL
**Financial**
- Oversee financial and commercial management of the League
- Prepare budget, in consultation with the Board to reflect income and expenditure of SAASL, and allocation of funds
**Community & Relationships**
- Actively engage with the football community for feedback and initiate new opportunities for the League
- Build and maintain beneficial relationships with the Board, Office of Recreation of Sport, FFA, FSA, Referee bodies, and other relevant affiliations
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders including local Council
- Be the main point of contact for key stakeholders including local council, local association, and peak sports bodies
**_This role is part time, and open to negotiation from 0.6 to 0.8 FTE, with the flexibility to work these hours across 3, 4 or 5 days_**
**To be successful in the role**:
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, liaise with and foster cooperation with a diverse group of people
- Experience working alongside and supporting a Board and management team
- Proven success in a comparable role and experience in sports administration and/or not for profit organisations
- Passionate and dedicated to promoting the club to the wider community
- A person of high regard, with discretion and a high level of honesty and integrity
- Ability to hold people accountable for the required outcomes, whilst showing support and respect
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports or Business Management is preferred
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
- Sound financial and commercial acumen
- Proven change management experience
