**Job Description**:
Due to expansion, we require a Human Resources Officer to provide information and support to the People & Culture advisory team, managers and staff in accordance with Human Resource policy and processes in line with relevant legislation. Additionally, the role will liaise with and act as a conduit between the organisation and People & Culture Advisory team in relation to a number of people matters.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Assist with updating or implementing policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance in line with changing legislation
- Ensure all payroll paperwork regarding terminations, transfers, salary increases etc. is provided to payroll in a timely manner in line with the relevant pay run
- Administration and updating of HRIS in a timely manner
- Present the Human Resources induction program to new managers (if required)
- Manage and distribute Exit Interviews for departing staff members
- Ensure HR budgetary compliance within the assigned portfolio’s rostering, annual leave accrual and salaries and wages
- Participate and actively input information in team meetings to challenge and move the team forward
- Compile employment letters - certificates of service, jury duty letters, abandonment letters etc.
- Undertake any additional HR administrative tasks as directed by the Head of People & Culture or a member of the wider People Team
- Prepare weekly operations calls slide deck
- Process significant end date reports as advised by payroll
- Prepare internal staff movement contracts
**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications, skills and experience**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management combined with at least 2 years relevant experience
- Effective communication, relationship building and listening skills
- Drive and commitment - demonstrated enthusiasm, commitment and capacity for sustained effort and hard work, ability to set high standards of performance and thrive in a vigorous and dynamic work environment
- Resilience - persevere to achieve goals in the face of obstacles and cope effectively with change, setbacks and disappointments and remain calm and controlled under pressure.
- Accept constructive feedback in an objective manner
- Effective planning and organisational skills to manage, multiple tasks and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Sound Microsoft Office skills to produce, develop and present required documentation
- Thoughtful, considered with a high degree of emotional intelligence
- Ability to deal sensitively and maturely with confidential, personal information and records
