Arts Programming Officer
Full time, fixed-term position (until 5 September 2025)
Deliver outstanding annual performing arts programs
$99,015 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus RDO leave and Super
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with a proven track record in developing and delivering annual performing arts programs in both indoor venues and public spaces.
Please note this is a fixed-term opportunity covering a period of leave until 5 September 2025.
A little bit about the role
As the Arts Programming Officer, you will lead and coordinate the investigation, development, and implementation of a range of innovative programs, events, and services. Your role will involve programming and delivering annual performing arts programs at the Hawthorn Arts Centre, Kew Court House, and other indoor and outdoor spaces as required.
You will research and develop opportunities for local cultural groups to perform in and for the City of Boroondara and create opportunities for local community participation in annual programs and events, with an emphasis on local creative organisations.
A little bit about you
You are passionate about enhancing community involvement and access to quality arts and cultural experiences. Your expertise in events management and community engagement is complemented by your ability to plan and deliver community arts and cultural programs.
You will have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering annual performing arts programs in both indoor venues and the public realm.
You will also have demonstrated experience in events management or equivalent along with a proven track record in engaging the community in the planning and delivery of community arts and cultural programs.
Employment Requirements
Tertiary Qualification in the Arts, Events/Arts Management or equivalent.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
