Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to September 2025.
**About the Role**
As our new Lead Facilitator, Emergency Risk and Capability, you will design, deliver, and manage state-wide emergency risk and capability assessment workshops. Your role will drive collaboration among emergency management personnel, government agencies, and key stakeholders to identify risks, assess capability gaps, and strengthen state-wide preparedness.
In this role, you will capture and analyse workshop insights, translating complex discussions into high-quality reports that inform strategic decision-making. You will develop tailored facilitation approaches, maintain best-practice methodologies, and ensure alignment with emergency management priorities.
Your ability to engage stakeholders, deliver actionable insights, and continuously improve workshop effectiveness will enhance emergency risk management and capability planning, contributing to a more disaster resilient and prepared state.

**About the Team**
The Capability Development Team within the Emergency Management Branch is a highly motivated and supportive team that drive and deliver initiatives to build capability across the NSW emergency management sector, including coordinating major projects and reforms.
**A bit about you**
- You have expertise in designing, facilitating, and evaluating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups, particularly in emergency risk management or capability assessment
- You hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have professional experience, with a current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the state
- You possess strong knowledge of the emergency management sector and government processes, enabling effective navigation and outcomes in complex environments
- Proven capability in analysing workshop outputs, identifying trends, and producing high-quality reports to inform strategic decision-making
- Experienced in engaging and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration to achieve shared objectives

**Salary**: Clerk Grade 11/12. Package includes base salary ($145,378 - $168,130) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
