- 12-month Maternity Relief Position, 4 or 5 days per week. In this key national role as the Salvos Home Care Quality Advisor you will support our Home Care operations teams to meet compliance requirements and implement & maintain the required supporting systems and processes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Home Care Quality Advisor, you will work with the General Manager and leadership team to drive the continuous quality improvement program across our business units. This is a 12-month maternity relief role working 4 or 5 days per week and can be based at either of our offices in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

This role works very closely with the National General Manager Salvos Home Care (Melbourne based) in identifying priorities and developing action plans, but is also supported by the General Manager Compliance and Care Assurance of the Care Quality and Compliance team (Sydney based). You may be involved in other related quality activities as per the requirements of the Organisation. Occasional travel to our service hubs in QLD, VIC, TAS, NSW, ACT will be required.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Key objectives of the position include supporting Salvos Home Care in:

- Peer review; (pre-accreditation) review and preparation
- Support the drafting of submissions and responses to the ACQSC or other regulatory parties
- Monitoring of our auditing and benchmarking systems and processes, and assisting with trending and analysis of data and undertaking audits (supported by the Manager Clinical Systems and Data Analytics)
- Supporting the development of plans for continuous improvement and working with service managers to meet defined objectives
- Support the Salvos Home Care team in compliance rectification work as a result of both internal and external performance review
- Support the implementation of new policies, procedures and work instructions in partnership with the GM Salvos Home Care and the various teams
- Induction support for new service/program managers in TSA quality framework and systems and quality expectations
- Provide clinical advice and support as required

ABOUT YOU
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army
- Registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse without restrictions in accordance with AHPRA requirements not essential but preferable
- Essential: 3 + years’ management experience working in the Community and Home Care environment
- Experience in quality, compliance, auditing and continuous improvement highly desirable
- Demonstrated high levels of computer competence and comprehensive report writing capability
- Demonstrated ability to influence and work cooperatively to foster positive change, providing support and leadership
- Experience in disability/aged care desirable
- Ability to develop strong relationships and manage multiple key stakeholders
- A demonstrable empathy for the customer
- Current Australian Drivers’ Licence
- National NDIS worker screening check
- Ability to travel inter/intrastate
