**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Non-Government Service Coordinator within Northern Mental Health.
The Non-Government (NGO) Service Coordinator is responsible to the Director of Allied Health and Adult Community Mental Health Services for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of quality NGO services for consumers of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN).
The role of the NGO Service Coordinator is to facilitate the appropriate identification and referral of consumers in acute/sub-acute settings into the appropriate non-government psychosocial program, this role is also responsible for identification and referral of consumers into other programs where appropriate.
In this role you will be based within NALHN Adult Community Mental Health and will work with staff to ensure that consumers are identified, allocated, provided with care coordination, referred to the appropriate non-government organisation, reviewed, exited or transferred as appropriate to longer term support services where required.
Working in conjunction with other health professionals, you will optimise patient functional and health outcomes in this specialty area. As a highly skilled and competent clinician, you will deliver quality services and provides clinical leadership across Mental Health Services, providing support and supervision to less experienced staff.

- Regular opportunities to meet with Allied Health Professionals across the Division of Mental Health to work on shared projects and continuing professional development.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for one of the following Allied Health disciplines working in the service, specifically:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with Occupational Therapy Australia; or
- Appropriate Degree (Master of Clinical Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical area of practice. Must hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary); or
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
