Large Geelong Organisation Seeks Skilled Payroll Manager

Hays Recruitment is partnered with a large Geelong Organisation who are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to lead and manage their Payroll Team.

**Your new role**

You will lead and manage the Payroll team to ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages to all employees while providing superior levels of customer service to management and employees.

Management of payroll-related functions to meet the organisation's reporting and external compliance requirements. Ensuring accuracy and consistency of pay by using internal controls and other measures.

**What you'll need to succeed**

ESSENTIAL:

- Strong customer service orientation and ability to tactfully deal with customer issues
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability
- Sound interpersonal skills (communication, influencing, negotiating, managing conflict)
- Demonstrated planning and organisation skills
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and ability to use absolute discretion in dealing with sensitive or confidential information
- Management and mentoring of staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Extensive experience in managing a high-volume end-to-end payroll function
- Experience building and maintaining a high-performing payroll team
- Well-developed written communication skills
- Sound knowledge and several years of experience in dealing with employment-related legislation, industrial awards and agreements

DESIRABLE:

- Previous experience with the PayGlobal system
- Understanding of Time & Attendance software
