Your opportunityAs the Deputy Principal you will have a focus on Organisational Capabilities, lead the implementation of the schoolwide guaranteed and high-quality curriculum, pedagogical and assessment practices and planning processes across the school. This entails systemically building staff capability and providing support for faculty Heads of Department to drive teaching and learning improvements in their faculties.The Deputy Principal reports to the school Principal.Your roleAs the Deputy Principal, you will: - Oversee the schoolwide curriculum alignment and review from years 7 - 12- Lead the guaranteed and schoolwide curriculum planning, assessment, reporting and moderation processes - Facilitate professional learning and capability development for beginning, mid-career and experienced teachers to support the development of a continuous improvement culture - Plan and lead the development of professional learning programs using the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and aligning these to the professional learning needs of teachers. Oversee the school's pre-service teacher program, mentoring beginning teachers and new teacher's induction program and support processes. Build staff capability across the school's Pedagogical Framework and associated Signature Practices - Plan school wide professional development of staff - Lead the schoolwide implementation of QLearn as the schools digital teaching and learning platform and support the implementation of associated digital pedagogical practices - Lead the school's curriculum development, implementation and review processes - Lead the school's staffing and recruitment processes of teaching and higher duties positions - Develop and implement a best practice model of staff leadership development programs - Lead the review and implementation for best practice APDP, classroom observation and Collegial Engagement processes - Lead the school's timetable development and annual review - Lead the school's staff wellbeing portfolio and committee For a full list of mandatory requirements please see the attached role description. **Interested?
