**The Opportunity**

**_Key leadership & management role_**

Glengarry Private Hospital is seeking a professional, proactive and dedicated After Hours Manager to join our leadership team to work in a casual capacity covering day/evening/night shifts as required.
- As the After Hours Manager, you will be working in a key leadership and management role that is accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources outside of normal business hours.

Working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery, this role will also include, but is not limited to:

- Demonstrating sound knowledge and skills in relation to clinical practice
- Acting as a role model and a senior clinical resource for all hospital staff
- Collaborating with each department to ensure appropriate admission of patients to wards
- Supporting strategies to minimise agency usage in line with Ramsay Health Care targets

**Essential Criteria**:

- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive clinical skills and experience
- Sound understanding of contemporary Human Resources Management practices
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program

**Desirable**:

- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife
- Post graduate qualifications in a clinical specialty area
- Post graduate qualifications in Health Administration and/or Management
- Previous experience in a management position
- Advance Life Support competence (further training will be provided onsite)
- Sound computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook)

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
