Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Officer on a contract for 12 months with, 2x12 months extension option.

**Position Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to drafting and review of project documents, including project schedules, status reports, project plans, project control logs and risk registers.
- Support senior staff in managing competing priorities in line with the goals and objectives of the team.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and coordination of the OurSecurity System that deliver effective business outcomes and meet user needs.
- Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key improvements of processes and ensure the use of project management methodologies and processes to allow for consistent high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the preparation of a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers to manage the flow of information.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- 3 years of previous project management experience.
- An understanding of project management principles including planning, monitoring, evaluation and assurance.
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated capacity to learn and acquire new digital skills and get the best out of existing software.
- A positive solution focused attitude, with attention to detail and ability to meet tight and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team on own initiative, demonstrating resourcefulness and managing competing priorities.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- This is a security designated position, and you will be required to have or be able to obtain a security clearance to current Negative Vetting Level 2 (minimum).
- Successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
