**Purpose of Role**:
Will be based in Bankstown NSW and suit someone in the South West corridor or similar. It’s a hands-on role that allows you to manage the full operation and manufacturing areas within the company. It’s vital to be able to lead teams and get the best out of people. WHS and QA is critical to a successful business as is keeping costs under budget, ensure projects are delivered in full and on time with few to no errors and zero lost time injuries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work to KPI’s and deliver direction to both manufacturing and operation teams
- Manage the complete processes including own sites and third party providers
- Have a hands on approach with processes and record keeping
- Plan for continuous improvement nationally
- Keep a target of zero harm and instill this focus throughout the company
- Give exceptional customer service both internal and external, at all levels and be firm but fair
- Have cost accounting knowledge and strong negotiation skills
- Planning for Continuous Improvement (C.I) in all areas of the operations team nationally
- Manage OH&S issue and policies across all areas. Keeping a target of Zero Harm to all staff, contractors and customers
- Build the Operations Team in Sydney & Melbourne to deliver exceptional customer service
- Support Finance team with information required regarding costs and payment of projects
- Instill the practice that projects are never installed without payment
- Ensure all your teams keep and provide records on every job
- Manage the installation teams

**Customer Service**:

- Ensure teams handle technical queries and support customers with technical issues as they arise for the product range
- Ensure teams have timely and accurate response to key accounts queries and requests
- Support the culture growth of “One Team”

**Expected Outcomes/Key Measurability**:

- Ensure all costs are managed and recovered to enable sales team to gain a margin greater than 42%
- Cost of Goods Sold to be less than 60% over each quarter and full financial year
- Measurement of areas to reduce errors and cost blow outs
- Manage the manufacturing to ensure we support the growth expectations and reduce costs with efficiencies
- Maintain and build on site installations teams as required
- Zero lost time injuries
- Monthly reporting to CEO

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Building Industry Knowledge - including Major Builder Contacts
- Cost Accounting knowledge
- Effective People Management
- Project Management
- Influencing skills with peers, staff and customers
- High level of understanding of WHS and the workers compensation requirements in wood machining

We want to talk to someone with attention to detail, who can manage teams under their control with diplomacy and tact, get the best out of people and ensure the company thrives.

You’ll have strong negotiation skills, building industry knowledge and have the teams work on including major Builder contracts and be able to get the right result for all parties.

Knowledge of the toilet partition or a similar industry is desirable and you will hold a cabinet making or joinery qualification and have good PC skills with meticulous record-keeping.

Position reports to the CEO in NSW and is for someone who is well presented and personable while being able to give ground or hold ground within the right context so they retain their internal and external customers and represent the company well.
