The Digital Engineering team is responsible for the technology that is the powerhouse for our Westpac digital customer experiences. This includes our award-winning Westpac Mobile App and online banking web site servicing millions of customers daily. This team is entrusted to deliver the bank of tomorrow for Westpac’s five million plus customers

**How will I help?**

Westpac has an immediate opportunity for an agile focused delivery lead with a strong delivery background, seasoned facilitation skills and experienced in handling multiple squads within a tribe.

You will partner with business and technology teams to plan and execute their mix of tactical and strategic work to deliver the vision for the business.

You will lead one or more teams and will be responsible for managing the E2E value stream from readiness to implementation through different phases of software development.

**What you will do**
- Act as chief scrum master leading a group of scrum masters and BAs on App and Platform train
- Managing interfaces and dependencies of features / Epics, which need to be delivered through multiple Agile and non-Agile teams.
- Act as a point of escalation for any issues or risks, ensuring complete focus on delivering efficiency and business value in the train
- Facilitating and coordinating of the activities within the train across teams like PI Planning, Capacity, and velocity management, reporting and governance deliverables
- Accountable for the release implementation activities which include change management, external systems implementation, handovers, security testing, regression testing and business testing.
- Escalates impediments to RTE/Program Manager and other stakeholders, helps manage risks, helps ensure value deliveries, and drives continuous improvements throughout the lifecycle.
- Supporting the Release Train/Chief Engineer in strategy, resourcing, planning and managing stakeholders

**What do I need?**
- 8-year min experience as a delivery lead / Agile project manager
- Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for 3 - 5 years.
- Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
- Background in banking /financial services with experience working across digital products, mobile banking and internet banking
- Proven record of delivering large projects on time
- Experienced in using collaboration tools like jira, confluence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
