Racking Safety Inspector

Are you passionate about workplace safety and have a keen eye for detail? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Racking and Safety Inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting inspections of racking systems within our organization.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
Will include, but not be limited to;
- Inspecting and testing equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and serviceability;
- Inspecting mine sites, warehouses, factories and other work sites to ensure compliance with government and industry standards and regulations;
- Site examination and assessment of damage to pallet racking in the warehouse industry to comply with Australian Standards;
- Inspection of racking installation as prescribed by Australian Standards;
- Inspecting installation for damage and general wear and tear;
- Carry out comprehensive, multi-level inspections of on-site racking, shelving and storage equipment to ensure technical compliance;
- Periodic racking inspections to ensure a safe warehouse environment and compliance with HSE requirements;
- With access to all manufacturers design manuals and loading charts, verify and validate that they meet required standards and are being operated within design capability;
- Document and present reports detailing damage or corrective remedial actions that needs to be implemented;
- Compile compliance reports and include in reports a breakdown of risk assessments and any damage assessed while conducting the audit;
- Provide inspection results to racking administrator for writing reports following inspections and send to client in a timely manner;
- Record results of a site survey clearly and create basic site layout drawing;
- Ensuring employees are utilizing plant and equipment in the manner outlined by regulations and approved procedures;
- Assist in conducting safety meetings and organise training if requested, in general safe operational principles in keeping with Australian Standards and regulations;
- Advise clients on ways to comply with racking occupational health and safety legislative requirements;
- Generally, promote the company philosophy of trustworthiness and integrity;
- Actively participate in and contribute to the team, comply with the company’s authorisation schedule, comply with any other reasonable request from management.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma or equivalent work experience;
- 2 year’s relevant experience in similar role or industry;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite;
- Knowledge of Duty of Care provisions and AS/NZS 4084:12;
- Hold a valid driver’s license and able to travel all over Australia;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.

**Salary**: Up to $90,000.00 per year
