Safety Inspector/auditor

APC STORAGE TECHNOLOGY (PTY) LTD as part of APC GROUP is a leading national supplier of warehouse and office storage solutions. We specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of a wide range of storage products including pallet racking and shelving.

We are offering a Racking Safety Inspector role in our Western Australia Team. This opportunity will allow you to work within a growing team and business where you will learn and gain valuable experience.

THE ROLE
- Full site examination and assessment of damage of pallet racking in the warehouse industry, to comply with Australian Standards,
- Full inspection of racking installation, as prescribed by Australian Standards.
- Inspecting installation for damage, wear and tear.
- Carry out a comprehensive, multi-level inspection of all on-site racking and storage equipment to ensure technical compliance within the installation department.
- Periodic racking inspections to ensure a safe warehouse environment and compliance with HSE requirements.
- Ensuring the safety of staff and warehouse operation by doing the inspection.
- With access to all manufacturers design manuals and loading charts to verify and validate they meet the required standards and are being operated within design capability.
- Document and present a report detailing any damage or corrective remedial actions that needs to be implemented.
- In conclusion of a warehouse racking safety examination, making compliance report.
- Include in reports a breakdown list of the risk assessment and any damage assessed while conducting the audit.
- Providing inspection results to racking administrator for writing reports following inspections and sending to customers in a timely manner.
- Ability to record results of a site survey clearly & create basic site layout drawing.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Knowledge of Duty of Care provisions and AS/NZS 4084:12
- Have a full Australian driving licence and able to travel all over Australia.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members and peers.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to Detail.
- Diploma and/or; Certificate III or IV in WHS desirable; and/or equivalent work experience.
- Computer Skills Microsoft Office.

Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
