**CASUAL DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS - Immediate Start**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Our participants have a range of disabilities and complexities and require at home and in the community support. We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join our team to provide 1:1 individualised, high-quality care to the most important people in our organisation - our clients.

**You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including**:

- Day to day care in line with their personalised care plans
- Household tasks include cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Providing personal and hygiene care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting and mobility when required
- Administering and monitoring medications, assisting with dressings and basic observations
- Providing one on one support to clients with disabilities such as physical, intellectual, acquired brain injury or psychosocial in the comfort of their own home
- Escorting our clients on community outings such as shopping trips, lunches, appointments etc.
- Engaging and interacting with clients from all diverse cultures and background
- Transporting and escorting clients to medical and allied health appointments and hospital visits

**Ideally you will have**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in disability, aged care or childcare
- Experience with Documentation/Report Writing
- Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours
- Willingness to support customers with personal care including toileting, showering and mealtime assistance
- Ability to build and maintain professional boundaries, follow organisational protocols, policies and procedures to a high standard
- CAN-DO attitude that is also compassionate, caring and reliable

- **Full Covid Vaccination**

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)

- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
