**What You Will Be Doing**
The neurodevelopmental program will provide assessments to children and young people (5-25 years) currently receiving mental health treatment and support within the Infant Child and Youth (ICY) Mental Health & Wellbeing Program. Referrals are to clarify the presence of neurodevelopmental disorders in young people presenting with a primary mental health concern, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

This role provides senior clinical leadership and workforce capacity building across the ICY Program, and is a key stakeholder in the early development of this new, specialist neurodevelopmental service. You will have a high level of expertise and experience in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and particularly how it may present in the context of other mental health diagnosis and symptoms and co-occurring disorders.

You are responsible for triaging referrals, providing comprehensive assessment, second opinion, secondary consultation, and post-diagnostic support in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodevelopmental challenges.

**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
A current qualification as a Health Professional (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work or Psychology).

Current national registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA) where applicable by discipline.

Additional Post Graduate Qualifications in a relevant area of practice.

Specific post
- graduate experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry highly regarded.
