Procurement Officer Role in Local Government

**Your new organisation**

This Local Government organisation is seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team on a 3-month temporary basis, with the potential for extension or permanency. With offices located in Perth’s Eastern suburbs and a supportive and flexible team environment, this organisation presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional.

**Your new role**

Within this position, you will be responsible for:

- Review of contract requests and preparation of RFT packages
- Evaluation of tender responses
- Preparation of contract documents and variation letters
- Issuing contract extensions

**What you’ll need to succeed**

In order to succeed, you will need to have prior experience in the above role tasks. You will also have excellent communication skills, as well as be skilled in negotiation and Word, Adobe and Excel.

**What you’ll get in return**

In return, you will have a flexible 3-month contract role in a local government organisation. The hourly rate for this position will be $35 - $41 per hour + superannuation. This role may also have the potential for extension or permanency.
