We are seeking to appoint a Health Analytics Lead with well-developed data management and analysis skills to join our growing team of business intelligence and analytic specialists at Western Health. This newly created role will be responsible for the leading the Analytics team which consists of 4-5 analysts, manage data request workflow as well as other ongoing project deliveries. This role is also expected to collaborate with the Data Scientist to assist with the development of machine learning models to improve decision-making and health outcomes.

**To be Successful in this Role you will have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or related discipline
- Developed skills in the extraction, analysis and reporting of data, with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency (3+ years) in coding and data wrangling using appropriate computer language such as SQL or Python
- The ability to manage competing demands with a structured approach to problem resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

**What you will experience working within the Performance Unit**:

- Opportunity to work within an established high-performing multidisciplinary team of data specialists including Power BI developers, Database Engineers, Performance Analysts and a Data Scientist.

- Working with both clinical and corporate stakeholders on a wide range of datasets.

**Duties**:

- Lead and mentor the Analytics Team to ensure multiple ongoing project and ad-hoc deliverables are completed within deadline.
- Act as the key WH contact for data request from internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to facilitate the integration of any new data items from hospital data sources into our centralised data warehouse.
- Lead the development of activity-based funding models within the organisation.
