Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 5 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 19 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings.

Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.

**About the Role**

We seek a proactive leader with the drive to achieve high efficiency and accuracy of our Pre-Analytical Services. In this leadership role as Pre-Analytical Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of Pathology Collections, Sendaways and Logistics, and Specimen Reception across all sites, and provide a major contribution to the delivery of optimal patient centred care.

Clear and open communication is essential to the role in overseeing our large Pre-Analytical teams, and liaising with multiple contact points across Monash Health and external services. Your ability to lead, engage, and develop people will aid in offering support and guidance to the five team leaders that report directly to this position and allow you to work with your team to deliver continuous improvement.

Your thorough working knowledge of diagnostic pathology with attention to detail and strong problem solving skills will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality Pre-Analytical service to our complex laboratory network.

You possess a capacity for strategic thinking, setting and meeting KPI targets, optimising workflows, improving TATs, embracing change and promoting innovation, and have a working knowledge of ISO15189 and NPAAC requirements specific to Pre-Analytical services.
