**About the team**

The Infrastructure and Place (I&P) division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.

The role sits within the Analytics & Applications sub-branch of I&P’s Commercial, Performance & Strategy Branch, that is responsible for establishing a high-quality single source of truth for data and analytics in I&P. The sub-branch enables better customer outcomes before, during, and after project delivery and will deliver a suite of dashboards and integrated solutions to enable data driven decisions throughout the infrastructure project lifecycle underpinned by actionable insights.

**The Opportunity**

You will be providing leadership and direction for the operational performance and innovation deliverables of the Analytics and Applications sub-branch supporting the Infrastructure and Place Division.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective pipeline of data and technology improvements, including the prioritisation, implementation and administration of the associated systems, tools, and processes required to achieve the Analytics and Applications strategic vision.

Supported by a team of Operations Specialists, Application Support Professionals and Solution Analysts, this role will lead the sub-branches continuous improvement programs including measuring and reporting financial and productivity progress to the executive leadership group.

**Key accountabilities**
- Act as a thought leader, remaining abreast of current and emerging infrastructure and industry issues and trends, including domestic and international best practice, innovative approaches and opportunities to support the achievements of the business objectives.
- Ensure strategic performance and improvement initiatives are informed by robust data and analysis, sourcing data from a variety of reliable sources and ensuring a sound evidence base for strategic investment.
- Manage the end-to-end ideation, investment, budget planning, operational/deliverable reporting and implementation process, including resolving stakeholder queries, establishing cadences and progressing approval processes.
- Provide leadership, drive change, inspire people and deliver results, including guiding and leading a team of SME experts, provide training and direction to support stakeholder-focused strategies, programs and initiatives.
- Oversee the operational support and maintenance of existing and future infrastructure systems and tools within the sub-branch environment, acting as the focal point between the sub-branch and end-users ensuring relevant infrastructure systems and tools are expertly administered and supported to deliver project outcomes.

**About you**

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional with proven leadership qualities and extensive experience in the development and implementation of data and technology improvement projects whilst delivering high level strategic plans and proposals, with the ability to assess strategic requirements and identify new opportunities.

You demonstrate stakeholder engagement expertise, decisiveness, and the drive to get things done. Engaging and energetic, you excel in communication and presentation and have proven experience in leading and developing teams in a complex customer centric environment.
