**About the role - Permanent Part time (0.8 FTE)**

The Accounts Officer is a diverse role focusing on the end-to-end accounts payable processes within Baptist Care SA. As well as managing the accounts payable data entry, the role involves ensuring all accounts are paid by the due dates, monthly reconciliation and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Accounts Officer, other duties include, but are not limited to:

- Electronically loading of documents and authorisation of invoices
- Obtaining the appropriate authorisation for invoice payment
- Preparation of payments
- Statement Reconciliations

**About you**:
With a keen interest in all aspects of Accounts Payable, your experience in a similar role or formal qualification will allow you to effectively navigate financial accounting systems and accurately prepare supplier payments within agreed timeframes. You may currently be working towards completing your qualification, recently graduated or have experience in a similar role and looking to return to the workplace during school hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career in finance and be mentored by our experienced Finance team.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrated understanding of accounting knowledge through working in a similar position or formal qualification (or working towards)
- Understanding of Accounting principles and practices including reconciliation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, primarily intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
- Capable of navigating a financial accounting system
- Strong attention to detail and data entry
