Working as part of our Journey Beyond Group, you play an integral role in supporting our business to share special places and shape lasting memories.

**About the role**

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for collecting outstanding debts across our large national customer base and providing strong support to the accounts department. You will be highly motivated to identify credit risks and providing resolutions to ensure payments are received within specified trading terms

**Key Responsibilities**
- Generating invoices and month end account statements
- Performing account reconciliations
- Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
- Daily payment allocations and receipting
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or customer enquiries
- Debt collections
- Ensure compliance with company payment terms
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are recorded and properly posted
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding debtors
- Customer service liaison
- Reconcile and process customer refunds, rebates and credits
- Process customer payments via EFTPOS and Direct Deposits
- Weekly debtor reporting
- Provide support to the Accounts Supervisor
- Administration management including system software processes
- Assist in general financial management and analysis
- Assist departments with problem solving
- Effectively provide support to assist sales team
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Any ad hoc duties required by the Accounts Supervisor

**About you**
- Experience in basic accounting adequate for the position
- Demonstrated experience and solid understanding in fair credit practices, collection principles and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of credit and debt recovery processes
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office in particular Excel
- Proficiency in learning new systems
- Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with customers
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
