We are seeking to fill two permanent part time vacancies, cleaning and kitchen hands, working 40 hours per fortnight.

**Elizabeth Gates** - nestled in the peaceful rural township of the Hunter Valley region, a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents.

**Alroy House**:

- With 2 separate households, each with between 24-25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

**What you’ll be doing in this role**

As a Carer for Hotel services support, you’ll provide quality, timely and effective hotel services such as cleaning & kitchen hand to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life. We have two roles to fill - each working around 20 hours per week on a permanent part time basis.

**Your care work may include**:

- Providing support with household activities such as catering, cleaning and laundry making their dignity and independence a top priority
- Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques and food safety
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

**Who we’re looking for**
- Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate II in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. If you’re not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you get there.
- You’ll have previous experience in similar position (catering / kitchenhand, cleaning or laundry services) or any other community care
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
