With over 900,000 followers on social media, the role of Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator at Perth Is OK is an important one, that comes with considerable responsibility.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Assist the Social Media Manager with day-to-day operational tasks relating to social media.
- Create original video content for Perth Is OK's social media accounts, with an emphasis on TikTok and Instagram.
- Create and manage a scheduling calendar.
- Drive around to various locations around Perth (and beyond) to produce content.
- Coordinate all administrative aspects of social video production, including preparing storyboard concepts for client campaigns, editing, approving audio and managing talent.
- Write highly-engaging social copy, uniquely relevant to the platform and true to Perth Is OK's brand voice.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, monitor community feedback and develop online discussions.
- Continually learn, test, measure & optimise performance on all social media activities.
- Manage a budget for social media activities and report on ROI.
- Influencer management as needed in partnership with the extended content team.
- Execute and implement a social media strategy with guidance from the Social Media Manager.
- Significant experience as a TikTok and Instagram reel content creator (whether for yourself or employer/client), with proven ability in producing engaging creative content.
- An extremely strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, guidelines and best use practices, especially relating to TikTok and Instagram.
- Solid knowledge of social media analytics and social media management tools.
- A willingness for occasional after business hours/weekend work.
- A willingness to spend up to 2 days per week out of the office and on the road filming content.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills.
- Extreme attention to detail and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to priortise work across multiple projects, channels and campaigns.
- Strong team working and collaboration skills.
- The ability to take initiative and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior time and deadline management skills.
- A high client service ethic.
- A comfortability working behind and in front of the camera.
- A love of Western Australia and a desire to help promote it to the world
- A familiarity with Adobe Design Suite and/or Canva
- A familiarity with Facebook Creator Studio
- A familiarity with Facebook Ad Manager
- A familiarity with TikTok Ad Manager
- An understanding of Social Media SEO best practices
- Experience creating short-form content for YouTube

A degree qualification in appropriate disciplines such as marketing, media, communications, tourism or graphic design would be highly advantageous but not absolutely essential.
