Talent International are currently recruiting for an APS6 Senior Media and Speechwriting Officer to work for an Australian Federal Government Client based in the following locations:

**Role**

This position is a 12-month full-time Labour Hire contract with the view to be extended and is paying $58.50 per hour + Super. Employer of choice offering fantastic work-life balance in the form of 2 days working from home per week and workplace flexibility.

As a Media Officer in the Communications and Engagement Division you will be working in a team responsible for managing this Federal Government Agency’s media. You will help inform and build support for the Agency with media and other external stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting relationship management and building networks and connections with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on journalists, the Minister’s office and senior stakeholders
- Producing media and other communications products, including media releases, talking points and media plans to support announcements
- Identifying proactive opportunities for the Agency spokespeople and/or the Minister for the Agency to engage with media
- Analysing media sentiment and data, and interpreting results to further strategic engagement
- Undertaking a wide variety of general tasks as required, including but not limited to, providing support for reporting, analytics and executive reporting and presentations
- Managing relationships and building strong networks and connections with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on journalists, the Minister’s office and senior stakeholders

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in media, communications or journalism
- Relationship management and building networks and connections with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing media and other communications products, including media releases, speeches, talking points and media plans to support announcements
- The ability to work with senior stakeholders and tailor communication accordingly
