Chirnside Park, Australia Galaxy Personnel Full time

Our client located in Chirnside Park is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for ongoing work. This is on day shift 7:00am to 3:00pm

**Duties will include:

- **
- Responsible for the timely accurate completion of all maintenance and breakdowns
- Ensure that paperwork and documentation is recorded accurately and in accordance with company standards
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to ensure optimal running of equipment and machinery
- Checking parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using measuring instruments
- Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
- Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts
- Working in accordance with safety procedures and reporting any hazards
- Perform low voltage electrical disconnect and reconnect electrical installation work (ideally)

**Essential Criteria:

- **
- Trade qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Restricted Electrical licence (ideally)
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Fitter role.
- Ability to follow Safe Operating Procedures
- Abe to perform metal work and welding
- Strong communication skills
- Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical and machinery breakdowns.
