**Are you looking to start your career with the Council?**

Novaskill in partnership with the City of Gold Coast is excited to offer trainee placements through the Queensland Government First Start program, Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

The program offers opportunities for successful applicants to gain nationally recognised Cert III in Business qualification and 12 months employment experience undertaking a traineeship. Applicants will need to meet specific selection criteria and provide relevant information to confirm eligibility. Please be advised that this information may be provided to third party agency as required as part of the recruitment and selection process.

**Criteria under First Start**

All applicants will be assessed on merit against their suitability to meet the requirements of the role. First Start traineeships assist job seekers in a number of categories, including:

- Young people (aged 18-24 years)
- Long-term unemployed job seekers and women re-entering the workforce
- Mature-age job seekers (aged 45 years or older)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
- Migrants and refugees from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds
- People with Disability
- Veterans, ex-ADF personnel and their families.

**To be eligible, you must also be**:

- Aged 18 years or older and no longer at school, and
- Able to meet citizen, residency and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.

**Duties Include but are not limited to**
- Answering phone calls
- Electronic filing and scanning
- Appointment Booking for clients
- Stock Operations
- Data Entry and saving of documents

**Administration Traineeship Role**

**Requirements**
- A team player with a genuine appetite for learning
- Someone who takes pride in their work
- Service-oriented with good interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality as required by the position and actively embrace our safety culture
- Act ethically in alignment with the City of Gold Coast Code of Conduct

The Typical requirements trainees will need are:

**Salary**: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Work from home

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Public holidays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bundall, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
