**About the Position**

**We are looking to welcome an **Intake and Referral Practitioner **to manage referrals into the Intensive Family Support (IFS) program.**

- **Full time opportunity.****:

- **Position government funded until 31 December 2027 with possible extension.****:

- **Level 4 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $85,127 - $91,588 + Super.***

**_Key Responsibilities:_**

***:

- **Respond to and process referrals and referral enquiries in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.****:

- **Complete child protection risk assessments and screen information for domestic and family violence risk, consulting with supervisors/specialists as required to manage and respond to risk.****:

- **Identify support needs of families and assess whether they meet the referral criteria of the program.**

**About You**

***:

- **A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).****:

- **At least 2 years’ experience working within a child protection framework.****:

- **The ability to build rapport quickly and respectfully over the phone and in person, with both referred clients and external stakeholders.****:

- **The ability to identify and assess risk of harm, using a child-centred approach.***
