**About the opportunity**:
As the Team Leader for Early Childhood Services, you will guide a team of Children’s Workers to deliver high-quality supported playgroups and school readiness programs. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the lives of children and families in the Liverpool, Bankstown, and Fairfield areas. You’ll support your team to create safe, inclusive, and stimulating environments where children can thrive, develop, and feel prepared for school and beyond.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead and inspire a team of Children’s Workers to deliver exceptional playgroups and school readiness programs.
- Foster meaningful relationships with children and their families, guiding their development through culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
- Empower Children’s Workers to tailor activities that meet the individual strengths, interests, and needs of each child.
- Build bridges between families and essential local services, ensuring they have access to health, education, and community support.
- Create a safe and inclusive space where every child and family feels welcome, supported, and celebrated.
- Be an active voice in the community, establishing strong partnerships with local organizations and enhancing Uniting’s reputation.

**About You**:
You are a compassionate leader who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and seeing positive outcomes. You bring experience in early childhood services, particularly with children from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. You are someone who:

- Holds a Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Studies with at least two years of leadership experience.
- Has extensive experience in delivering early childhood services, especially in supported playgroups.
- Can easily connect with families and children, understanding their needs and working to build their strengths.
- Embraces diversity and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all.
- Is a skilled communicator and an advocate for collaboration within the community.
- Understands the Early Years Learning Framework and can effectively plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
- Current NSW WWCC and current NSW Driver’s license
