**THE ROLE**
The primary purpose of this role is to drive strong and effective Leadership within our Toowoomba terminal and sub-regional locations.
This role will work across a number of complex areas that will include Terminals, logistics, site maintenance and will be expected to have full understanding of the various Inspections Policy Statement and Plans. This will require working closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage and maintain our strategic position in the supply chain.
As one of the senior members of the operational management team you will manage a diverse workforce (terminal operators and drivers) and you will be expected to deliver a superior service and performance at the lowest unit cost. Managing the day-to-day operations this role will be accountable for delivering the local OHS plan and be responsible for site and vehicle-based compliance.
The role also requires ad hoc travel to satellite sites.
**This role will also be responsible for**:
Leadership and Communication
- Provide clear and consistent leadership on-site and with external stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication of key objectives aligned with LPG-wide strategy.
Performance Management
- Drive continuous improvement across terminal metrics (DIFOT, Production, Supply Chain).
- Monitor day-to-day performance and address monthly loss/gain issues in line with the Quality Improvement Process.
Business Improvement and Strategy
- Focus on business improvement across growth, financial performance, safety, risk assurance, and employee engagement.
- Develop and maintain a concise 3-5 year plan for terminal maintenance, upgrades, and capital investments.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Stay informed on the Origin Inspections Policy and maintain compliance with internal and external audits, regulatory bodies, and licensing. Ensure the terminal and fleet are safe, well-maintained, and compliant.
Training and Contractor Management
- Ensure training compliance with operating procedures and operator qualifications.
- Manage contractors, ensuring compliance with directives.
**IS THIS YOU?**
You will have:
- Demonstrated in managing and leading teams in a high profile / complex environment
- Experience of managing a Major Hazard Facility
- Must have excellent people skills and be able to inspire people to have the desire to deliver results
- Contractor Management
- Extensive terminal management experience which is demonstrable by results / outcomes
- Commercially astute and a demonstrable history of managing budgets, through to the desired outcomes
- Understanding of gas or fuel logistics and transport principles and land transport legislation high beneficial
