We have a great opportunity for a Trading Manager in Training to develop the necessary skills and experience to progress to a Trading Manager. As directed by the Head of Trade, you will work across the portfolio on specific initiatives and support defined Trading Managers in all aspects of Category Management to become proficient with processes, systems and ways of working. We need someone with strong analytical, operational and interpersonal skills who is eager to learn and progress their career

What you’ll do

Support in delivery of sales and profitability budget

Support in the delivery of category range, pricing and promotional plans that are aligned to the strategic priorities of each channel

Support Trading Manager in managing supplier relationships including the supplier profitability to our network by channel, DIFOT, JBP’s, supplier engagement

May have responsibility for a small Category as part of your development

What you’ll bring

Previous experience in Category Coordinator role or similar level in an FMCG environment

Ability to analyse and prioritize information and convert insights into actions

Customer focus and a collaborative style, with the ability to work within an internal matrix structure and with external stakeholders

Commercial acumen with an understanding of the drivers of success in Category Management
