**The Role**
We’re looking for people who are fit and confident in handling large breed dogs to help us with their daily walks at our North Melbourne shelter.
You'll play an important role in ensuring our dogs waiting to find their new forever homes receive daily socialisation and exercise. We'll provide you with the skills to use positive training techniques and it's an excellent way to get your exercise in each week and meet new friends, both two and four legged
We are looking for people who can commit (for a minimum of 6 months) to a 3-hour shift on a weekday.
**The shifts we have available are**:
Monday - Friday
10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm
To be considered for this role, volunteers must:
- Have experience with energetic medium or large breed dog (Husky, American staffy, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Bull Arab etc)
- Be over 18 years of age
All volunteers will receive comprehensive induction, behaviour training, and safety training and will be provided with appropriate PPE. Volunteers are also eligible for discounts for their pets at our Vet Clinic.
