**Your new company**

This high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Program Officer to join one of their divisions that administers Australia’s self-governing and non-self-governing territories, including supporting infrastructure and essential services due to an increase in workload.

You will join a team within the division that provides oversight and advice on the delivery of local and state-type services through facilitating service agreements with various stakeholders.

**Your new role**

Your duties will include but may not be limited to:

- Assist with the management of relationships between department representatives and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare briefs, senate estimates, minister briefs, questions on notice and freedom of information requests.
- Request, coordinate and consolidate input from across the government to develop advice for Senior Executives and the Minister.
- Manage procurement and contract management, monthly reporting and accruals, forecasting, movement of funds and provide input into the budget process.
- Provide secretariat services including logístical coordination of meetings, preparation of complex papers and detailed and accurate minute taking. Contribute to the planning and implementation of wider agency policies and objectives.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbally, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, the ability to work in a team and independently, demonstrate strategic thinking and policy development in a unique policy environment, high attention to detail and organisational skills.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
