**About the Role**:
In this Perth office-based role, you will optimise the utilisation of the autonomous drill fleet and safely deliver the drill plan for our Iron Ore mine sites.

Reporting to the Supervisor Drill Control you have responsibility for:

- Ensuring conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
- Collaborating and communicating with onsite teams to coordinate and schedule drilling related activities
- Ensuring all incidents, near misses or hazards are reported to the IROC Drill Control Supervisor
- Reporting any breaches of the Mines Regulations to the IROC Drill Control Supervisor including incidents and accidents
- Using established systems to recognise and control at risk behaviours and situations and effectively manage personnel and equipment interaction
- The operation of the drill once the machine is on a drill pattern
- Maximizing compliance to operational plan by optimizing the drilling activities within multiple work areas and drilling sequences
- Monitoring performance of equipment and compliance with mine operating procedures and updating the Shift Log with key events
- Continuous improvement through identifying system and operational process improvements in the use of the autonomous drilling system
- Liaising with site support teams to ensure drill availability is maximize

**Lifestyle Roster**

This position will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing.

As an added benefit, those on a Lifestyle Roster will also enjoy an additional week of annual leave per year.

**About You**:

- Previous drill controller or pit viper experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Good at adapting to change and ability to work autonomously
- Good communication and relationship with management
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Basic level of computing skills
- Good time management skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
