**About the business**
You Connect (YC), formally known as youth connections, is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people living with a disability, have complex behaviours and/or have mental health diagnosis that impact their day-to-day functioning.
You Connect supports inviduals aged 6-40 with disabilities to develop life skills and work readiness skills. We offer community access programs, 'get ready for work' programs, and individual support. These programs are designed to empower and develop independence and social skills.
**About the role**
We are currently seeking a dedicated Team Leader to support our expanding team of Support Workers and participants at our site at Tuggerah. The role is best suited to an experienced front-line leader who equally enjoys supporting and coaching dispersed teams and building close working relationships with the customer and their support networks. If you enjoy mentoring and coaching, leading and motivating front-line teams, growing and supporting employee development, creating opportunities, providing excellent quality of service, managing end to end customer experience than we would like to hear from you.
As a team leader your responsibilities are to:
- Coordinate, plan and execute workflow activities
- Ability to manage team of staff in both the community and in center
- Be the first point of contact for all staff and participants regarding ethical questions and feedback
- Ensure emergency responses are established and risk minimised to participants, staff and the brand of the business
- Deliver consistent, quality care to NDIS participants
- Coordinate office personnel work activities in line with strategic goals
- Ensure the smooth running of the team on a daily basis
- Provide feedback, coaching and training to facilitate personal and professional development
- Manage staff schedules and delegate work
- Chair staff meetings to provide opportunity to give direction and discuss areas for improvement
- Ensure workplace materials and documentation are maintained in line with legal obligations and best practice standards
- Ability to develop strong, professional relationships with key stake holders
- Develop and monitor care plans for participants to meet all the individual needs, in addition to develop training for staff to implement the care plans with high standards
- Analyse and investigate service complaint or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Review all the current services to ensure they are meeting the standards
- Conduct surveys and collect data using methods such as interviews, questionnaires and focus groups
To success in this role you will have:
- Direct experience of managing customer support service programs gained working in a similar role in the disability, aged care or community sector
- Qualifications or certification relating to the role or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the NDIS
- Two days billable per week, on supports with participants
- High level organisation, time management and task management, dealing with competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Flexible; job may require you to work on weekends
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find a way and bring people together to achieve outcomes for participants
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Exposure to working with a CMS is highly advantageous
- NDIS Worker Screen Check
- National Police Check
- Valid Working with Childrens Check (For Paid Employment)
- Proof of Covid Vaccination
- Valid drivers licence
