**About the role**

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Technical Lead to join the powertrains section of our Component Rebuild Centre team at Tomago. The CRC runs a 24/7 operation, specialising in Component Overhauls for our largest mining customers in NSW.

This role will see you responsible for providing high quality information and guidance on technical issues and/or problems, assisting with failure analysis and determining costing falls. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME), our technical leads frequently converse with internal and external stakeholders to provide efficient workflow and effectively maintain business KPI’s.

This role is a pivotal touch point between the technicians working on the workshop floor and the Workshop Supervisors to ensure that solutions contribute to an efficient overhaul.

As our Technical Lead, you will work a Monday - Friday roster.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure continuous improvement within safety to assist in the effective, efficient and safe operation of the business
- Ensure current and accurate technical information is clearly communicated (written and verbal) to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Provide high quality information and guidance on technical issues and/or problems within the designated SME area to internal and external stakeholders
- Review and investigate technical product issues and provide recommendations for timely solutions, liaising with appropriate WesTrac and CAT representatives
- Ensure customer specific component health issues are communicated directly to the relevant stakeholders
- Review and analysis early hour failures and rework, to make recommendations for corrective actions

**Skills & Experience**
- Mechanical trade qualification desirable
- Exposure to component overhauls
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills to coordinate team, work activities and project outcomes simultaneously
- Advanced communication skills including the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders, deliver presentations and undertake facilitation
- The ability to effectively resolve issues and identify continuous improvement initiatives
