**About the role**

We are seeking an Assistant Project Officer to join our $22 million Business Decarbonisation Program.

The program provides NSW businesses with one-of-a-kind support to meter and monitor their energy use, strategically plan for net zero, and take other practical steps in their shift to net zero.

In this role, you will work with a small team to support grant design and delivery under the $12 million Metering Package. The team recently closed the Metering Plan Implementation Grants and is now entering the contract management phase. Simultaneously, we are developing the next round of offerings under the Metering Package and managing multiple other projects.

**About You**

Our team is dynamic, collaborative, and highly passionate about supporting NSW businesses in their transition to net zero. We are looking for an equally passionate individual, who is a self-starter and enjoys collaboration within and outside the team, to join us.
- Technical degree, such as engineering, science or a related field
- Experience in energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy, or related projects
- Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards, and demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex topics to stakeholders with differing levels of technical understanding
- Understanding of energy sub-metering
- Experience with grant design or delivery

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.

**About the team**

The Business Decarbonisation Program is part of the Program and Market Development Branch within the Energy Division. With years of experience in delivering sustainability programs, the team leads the delivery of the $12 million metering and monitoring package, technical services and net zero pilots, development of net zero guidance and other initiatives.
