**About the opportunity**

Join NSW Health Pathology as the SIMBA Project Lead and Revenue Subject Matter Expert and play a key role in transforming pathology billing processes, leading innovative projects, and ensuring seamless integration with state-of-the-art systems, while contributing to enhanced revenue strategies and organisational success.

We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

**What you'll be doing**

The Project Lead and Revenue Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing pathology revenue expertise and ensuring best practices are applied for the North Epic Billing and SIMBA Integration Project. This role requires a hands-on approach to gathering and maintaining accurate master data while understanding revenue-specific workflows.

The position will support the development and implementation of revenue-related processes and procedures, working closely with management, stakeholders, and working groups to provide informed guidance. Additionally, the role involves conducting research and analysis to enhance revenue management strategies and support decision-making.
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience and capability in providing project support at a senior level.
- Experience in pathology billing systems support revenue generation, including experience in integrating or migrating systems and optimising billing processes to enhance efficiency.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge of pathology billing workflows, with an in-depth understanding of Medicare billing rules and requirements.
- Proven ability to perform business analysis, manage project scope, monitor project progress, identify and manage project risk and provide appropriate advice to the executive.
- Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
