**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homemaker to join PHM Health in Newcastle NSW.
The Homemaker will have an important role in providing leadership and supervision to all Support Workers and be expected to develop and maintain quality care and support to participants, creating outcomes and increasing client skills, and providing a safe and welcoming environment for our participants.
**About you**
To be a successful homemaker, you will have a strong passion for delivering quality service to our participants, plus have the following experience and values:
- Previous experience in supporting high intensity NDIS participants with complex needs, complex ASD, intellectual disability and challenging behaviours
- Well-developed leadership skills with the capacity to build a positive team
- Emotional resilience, positive outlook, and a fun attitude
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Budgeting and rostering experience (or willingness to learn), time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
**Key responsibilities**:
- Oversee the delivery of all supports within the house
- Planning and coordinating daily work activities, provide guidance to others to ensure support needs are met
- Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers
- Demonstrating an understanding to identify and clarify Support Worker responsibility for aspects of care in consultation with the Team Leaders, Support Workers and other staffs of the organisation
- Administrative tasks/data entry skills as required
- Liaise with all stakeholders, family and NDIS in a timely manner
- Demonstrates the ability to utilise systems and processes that effectively audit, analyse, and continuously improve the comprehensive assessment for each participant receiving support services
- Reporting on participant service support plans and variations
- Reporting on critical incidents and behavioural concerns
- Provide a degree of hands-on support such as covering shifts when required
- Organising house meetings
- Implementing new activities relevant to the participant to help assist achieve their goals
- Reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Ordering food and essential items such as medication, incontinence aids
- Providing feedback on staff performance
**Licence/ Certification**
- Must hold a current NSW/International Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NSW Working with Children’s Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Certificate
- COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate
- Must own a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.

Please note COVID vaccinations are mandatory for all PHM Health staff.
