**Your New Role**
Our Aboriginal Home Care service delivers culturally appropriate in-home support services to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.
This opportunity comes with a **permanent part-time contract of 40 hours per fortnight** based in **Swansea/Morisset **and surrounding suburbs.
What does your new role look like?
- Providing support to customers with domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Assisting your customers with personal care support including, showering, toileting and feeding assistance
- Helping with transportation for your customers to appointments, shopping and for social outings
- Building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with our customers and their families
- Adherence to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe
- Following the customers care plan effectively to deliver the agreed services
- Reporting any issues or changes in the customer’s health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols
**About You**

Does this sound like you?
- 12 months experience in a ‘Care’ role in Aged Care and/or Cert III in Individual Support (Aged Care)
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
- A current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable, well presented, comprehensively insured vehicle
- You’ll have a current First Aid Certificate. If you don’t have one, we will organize this at no cost to you.
- All Australian Unity employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19
