Are you a Cafe Superstar? Do you want to become a cafe superstar?

We are looking to replace one our Uni Student employee's. The Cafe has a position on offer that includes General cafe duties, food preparation and service. We have a minimum of 16 hours on offer, more for the right applicant.

Experience in Cafe, Hospitality or Fast food would be an advantage and if you have barista experience than you most definitely need to apply.

Our cafe currently offers a range of modern cafe fare as well as traditional fast food and takeaway meals, the successful applicant will be expected to be able to use the Point of Sales software, provide exceptional customer service, wait tables as well as assist with the production of food and drink items as required. Cleaning and General duties as requested by the duty manager.

The Cafe is open from 7am Monday to Saturday and 8am on Sunday, and we trade through to at least 5:30pm most days. Your roster will include shifts of up to 8 hours a day but on average 5 to 6 hours per shift is the current expectation. You will be expected to be available to work any day of the week and weekend work availability is essential.

Additionally if you have experience in a commercial kitchen as a short order cook or a barista, then you will be at an advantage.

All training will be provided and for the successful applicant, the opportunity to be trained as. a cafe barista is highly likely.

Key Duties:
Customer Service, Using our Point of Sales Systems, Cash handling, Use of EFT POS facilities, Waiting Tables, Cleaning, Food & Drink Preparation, are essential skills.

Additional favourable skills:
Previous Cafe or Hospitality Experience.
Barista Experience.
Short Order Cooking Experience.
Stock Control and Rotation Experience.

Mandatory Certificates:
You must hold or be prepared to obtain the following certificates.
Gold Coast City Council Approved - Food Handling Certificate
Covid Safe Certificate.
