**Your new company**

Hays technology is currently partnered with a large financial services organisation located in Brisbane CBD, and we are seeking to engage an experienced Data Modeller. This role will be a 6-month initial contract with view to extend

**Your new role**

As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining logical and physical data models that are consistent with standards and guardrails from Data Modelling Chapter and be involved in advancing these standards and guardrails.

You will have a passion for data, and be able to work with the Solution Architects, Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and Technical Leads on designing the data models and take design ownership of the data models.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise and implement best practice data modelling in projects
- Create and maintain logical and physical models in modelling tool and Bitbucket
- Work closely with the development team to implement data models
- Champion/Advocate modelling designs where required
- Stay current with latest technologies and data modelling methodologies

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 3+ years experience of Data Modelling
- Experience in Dimensional Modelling (Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model)
- Experienced in designing and implementing data warehouses
- Strong SQL skills
- Insurance background is a must
