**About the role**
This is a permanent, full time, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm position working **38 hours** per week. Located at the Bomaderry Works Depot.

**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor - Central Maintenance, the focus of this position is to:

- To operate plant or light trucks pertaining to maintenance and/or construction works as directed by the Supervisor and/or Ganger.
- To carry out routine manual labouring tasks without direct supervision, whilst accepting responsibility for correctness and quality of tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Ganger.
- Support and supervise staff in the day-to-day operations of the District.
- Ensure the work area’s compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.
- Undertake Risk Management inspections of Council’s assets using electronic mobile devices as required.

On call - Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.

**Skills & Experience**
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

- School Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 months’ work experience in civil construction and/or maintenance activitiesDemonstrated experience in operating minor and major plant and/or light trucks
- Demonstrated experience in operating minor and major plant and/or light trucks
- Minimum NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence or equivalent licence valid in NSW
- Current RMS Issued Traffic Control or SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Cards - ‘Traffic controller’ and ‘Implement traffic control plans’ or willingness to obtain
- Current NSW General Construction induction card (white card) or accepted interstate alternative.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
