We are looking for a permanent full-time Payroll / Accounts / Book Keeper to join our caring and dynamic office team in Charlestown.

**The role**:
Responsible for processing of weekly payroll, data entry including receivables and payables, preparing monthly management accounts, meeting statutory requirements and preparing financial reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll, in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Ensure accounting data, including A/R and A/P, is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform reconciliations on a regular basis to check the integrity of the data input.
- Ensure debtors are managed effectively to mitigate any losses.
- Maintain company accounting file, whilst adhering to Just Better Care’s financial management policies and procedures.
- Prepare both statutory and management accounting reports
- Work in collaboration with operational managers to provide budget tracking and accounting support

**What you will need**:

- Certificate IV in Financial Services or equivalent, qualifying for membership of a bookkeeping professional association
- Experience in book keeping and payroll in MYOB
- Experience preparing statutory accounting to trial balance and quarterly BAS
- Ability to create and prepare management reporting from financial data
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation
- Current and clear Criminal Record Check
- Excellent data entry skills, in a timely and accurate manner
- Proof of Working Rights
- Diploma or higher-level qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping, current membership of an accounting or bookkeeping professional association, and evidence of continuing professional education (CPE)
- Recent payroll experience for full-time, part-time, and casual staff in NSW
- Understanding of, and experience with payroll for, SCHADS Award, Nurses Award, and EBAs
- Experience in bookkeeping and payroll in Procura and Alayacare
- Experience with NDIS/Aged Care billing and reporting requirements
- Experience in data transfer and reconciliations between information systems
- Experience providing support to operational managers, including budget tracking, analysis and reporting
