What will your day look like
You will set the strategic direction for ABAC at ANZ, and develop and implement an ABAC framework which meets our regulatory obligations. You will ensure demonstrable ethical leadership among senior managers and executives, coupled with a culture of transparency and associated management and governance processes, and risk-based effective due diligence of third parties. You will also proactively identify and provide timely resolution of potential risk exposures, and provide accurate reporting on ABAC matters to management and board committees
About you
You are a strategic thinker, an effective and inspiring leader and a persuasive advocate for ABAC at ANZ, able to design and maintain the Bank’s ABAC framework. You are great at building effective and collaborative relationships. You can represent ABAC at the highest levels internally and externally. You have deep expertise in building frameworks to manage risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and the effective operation of policy standards and controls.
**Your key priorities and responsibilities include**:
Building strong collaborative relationships with our key internal stakeholders, to drive proactive and effective adoption of adequate ABAC procedures
Engaging bank leaders on ethical leadership and ABAC in an engaging, informed and practical manner,with exceptional communication skills and strategic acumen
Leveraging research into best practice in ABAC ethics and current and future ABAC compliance obligations in all relevant jurisdictions, to drive the ABAC agenda within the Bank
Ensuring ABAC policy and minimum operating standards meet global and local regulatory and other bank standards
Providing functional leadership and ensuring ABAC is supported with people and technology enablers
- in particular for enhanced declarations and due diligence obligations
Leading a team that exemplifies the ANZ values and the ethical excellence necessary to execute the ABAC framework, which is also supported to innovate to address emerging risks while delivering key ABAC framework activities to manage current risks
Leading thematic reviews to identify strategic priorities and inform targeted risk management activities in ANZ’s global business operations
Creating the strategic framework of adequate procedures to provide the Bank with a strong corporate defence, and presenting and advocating for this defence to executives, the board and regulators
Overseeing the efficient execution of ABAC minimum operating standards and ABAC control enhancements and monitoring systems
Chairing the internal ABAC Business Integrity risk forum
Presenting governance reporting to executive and board committee structures
What will you bring?

- Tertiary qualified with extensive risk management experience, with specific experience in ABAC in financial services
**Effective strategic collaboration and influencing**: ability to build and maintain relationships with executive and other senior internal stakeholders and external stakeholders such as advocacy groups and regulators to influence and negotiate change
**Thought leadership**: interested and informed on ABAC industry and regulatory developments and recognised as able to credibly interpret evolving regulatory requirements developments into adequate ABAC procedures on behalf of the Bank.
Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional and risk based manner.
Able to coach, lead, develop and support a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment of
