About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption (ABAC) and External Fraud in our Financial Crime portfolio, you’ll play a key leadership role in developing, implementing, continually enhancing and overseeing the ABAC and external fraud risk management.

The purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with relevant ABAC and external laws and regulations, oversee risk assessments, raise awareness about ABAC and external fraud, and foster a strong ethical culture throughout ANZ Bank.

The role drives initiatives that demonstrate cultural attributes and risk-based data driven insights to support ANZ Bank’s corporate defence against managing bribery and corruption risks in all jurisdictions where ANZ operates.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Manager, Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption (ABAC) and External Fraud, you will be accountable for:

- Ongoing improvement of the ABAC and external fraud frameworks in accordance with industry best practice and regulatory requirements. Leading the development and review of standards and methodologies underpinning the ABAC and external frameworks.

- Proactively leading the identification, monitoring and oversight of ABAC and external fraud regulatory changes across ANZ Bank via internal and external sources to drive compliance with requirements.

- Leading ABAC and external fraud risk assessments and thematic reviews to drive uplift in ABAC and external fraud controls and key indicators to help demonstrate compliance with the ABAC and external fraud policies.

- Providing ABAC and external fraud subject matter expertise, advice and insight on regulatory obligations, risks, controls and best practice to stakeholders, up to and including senior management, across the jurisdictions ANZ operates in. Collaborating with cross functional divisions to embed and enhance the ABAC and external fraud frameworks.

- Leading governance reporting to relevant risk forums to provide proactive and forward-looking insights.

- Leading, designing and delivering training and communication on matters relating to the ABAC and external fraud frameworks to heighten awareness within ANZ Bank. Raising awareness within the organisation to promote a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour.

- Leading team members by fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, providing guidance and support and cultivating their professional development.

- Leading strategic initiatives to continually drive uplift of the ABAC and external fraud frameworks to prevent, detect and combat bribery and corruption across the organisation.

- Participating in specialist ABAC and external fraud forums and act as delegate to the ABAC and External Fraud Lead to represent ANZ Bank on external risk forums and industry bodies/interest groups.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Extensive experience in financial crime, risk or compliance management in a large or multinational organisation

- Subject matter expertise, technical competence and ethical excellence necessary to execute the ABAC and external fraud frameworks.

- Outstanding communication and influencing skills up to senior management levels.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, such as advocacy groups and regulators, to influence and negotiate change and represent the Bank.

- Ability to support the ABAC and External Fraud Lead in interpreting and applying evolving ABAC and external fraud regulatory requirements.

- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional, risk based, commercial manner.

- Demonstrated experience applying technical expertise in multiple contexts with high levels of complexity and ambiguity

- Ability to solve complex problems and proactively resolve issues.

- Ability to lead and make decisions autonomously in a collaborative manner.

- Highly self-motivated, embraces challenges and proactive in driving personal development.

- Adaptive to a changing environment.

- Proven track record of successfully managing and coaching teams to continually build appropriate skills and capability.
