Our Advanced Polymers division in **Mordialloc (South East location)** produce high-performance plastic compounds and resins that are used as raw materials in markets such as Agriculture, Building & Construction, Electrical & Electronics, Packaging, Personal Care & Hygiene and Sports, Leisure & Homewares.
Custom services are also offered and include Specialised Compounding, Product Testing, Blending, Bulk Handling, Machinery and Warehousing.
**About the role**:
Lead the site Maintenance Function, carry out plant maintenance, reliability and operational functions in terms of safety, environmental performance, cost efficiency and quality consciousness through technical advice, direction, and provide support on day shift or as required. In this role you will;
- Perform scheduled maintenance work
- Perform all mechanical, rigging, welding and instrumentation/electrical tasks associated with plant Maintenance
- Responds to ad hoc breakdowns in areas of qualified expertise and maintains close contact with the operations / technical groups. Provides effective technical support for long and short-term problems, as well as provide solutions in line with HSE and Quality policies in a cost-effective manner.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of the Site’s Reliability strategy.
- Ensures optimization of maintenance resources to sustain plant availability
- Participate in the development of the Site Daily/Weekly Maintenance plan and maintenance work scheduling, including the recording, management, updating and upgrading of data on Shared Folder to reflect the true position of maintenance functions.
- Ensure successful development and implementation of minor projects and changes through Management and implementation of minor plant changes, liaising and integrating activities with the Site Project Engineering Team for the successful development, and commissioning of projects.
- As a part of Maintenance Team organize, plan and coordinate short and medium
- term maintenance activities, including materials, spare parts, contractors, etc. to improve plant maintenance performance and HSE outcomes and to maximize plant availability.
- Identify, recommend and promote changes directed to technical and engineering improvements to ensure a HSE, reliable, cost efficient and quality conscious operation.
- Ensure compliance to Safety Procedures and actively participate and develop, when required, site critical HSE assessments (e.g. Safety Case, HRAs, JHAs, HAZOPs MoCs, etc)

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have;
- Significant experience in Maintenance or Engineering in a manufacturing environment (Plastic extrusion or related industry an advantage), including Pumps, Compressors and Process Equipment.
- Supervisory/leadership experience.
- Work Team coordination, including the management and coordination of Contractors
- Failure Analysis, cost estimation and control.
- Training of Operations employees and Trade Contractors.
- Significant experience (minimum 7 years) in Maintenance in a manufacturing environment (Plastic Extrusion or related industry an advantage).
- Demonstrable knowledge of the use of a Computerized Material Management System (SAP an advantage).
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Rotating Equipment monitoring programs, methods and equipment
- Demonstrable knowledge of the maintenance of rotating Equipment used in the Oil/Chemical industry i.e. pumps, compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating), piping, vacuum conveyors, etc.
- Knowledge of Local and International Codes and Standards
- AS, ANSI, ASTM, API
- Completed an Indentured Apprenticeship or an appropriate Discipline Training Plan with a registered training organization.
- Registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority.
- Qualifications and Experience in Mechanical, Rigging and Welding and forklift operation.
- License to perform High Risk Work as per the VWA i.e. EWP, DG, LF etc. (an advantage)
