The **Capability Lead: Economics and Finance** supports the Director of Operations and provides leadership to a Capability within a Performance Unit (PU) as well as Capital Transactions, social value and equity, Asset and Customer Intelligence. The role is responsible in **helping clients to understand their issues to uncover economic benefit and set the stage for long-term financial sustainability as well as leading the growth and development of the Capability**, considering the short to medium term needs for that Capability to be successful in the market. You will provide **consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values**, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across your capability that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of your people. You will use your strong stakeholder engagement skills and extensive knowledge of clients and markets to understand and develop the solutions that clients need and leverage the collective expertise of your team to articulate and deliver those solutions. You will work closely and collaboratively with other Capability and Section Leaders, Growth and Sales, Market Solutions and other functions to **grow your Capability** across all markets, engaging with clients and external parties to understand and drive demand for the Capability in new and non-traditional markets. You will **set clear direction and provide a strong role model** regarding client focus and responsiveness and your client relationships will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs. Our recruitment, retention and development programs should reflect this need. The Capability Leader is **responsible for the commercial performance of the Capability (billability and margin)**, ensuring high quality and commercial viability of services provided to the market. You will proactively predict and manage workload within the Capability, managing capacity of your team. You will also **support the relevant Manager of Projects** to manage project delivery risks and timely project delivery involving your Capability.
