**The Position**

The Payroll Operations Manager manages the payroll team and function to ensure accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll. The role is hands-on requiring technical knowledge of all areas of payroll processing and the management of escalations from payroll team.
- Co-ordinate daily payroll tasks as well as running the month end processes and reporting
- Oversee two alternate fortnightly payroll processing functions
- Check and reconcile payrolls
- Checking of payroll data and contracts
- Administer fortnightly payroll and responsible for the management of payment of PAYG
- Administrate all end of financial year procedures
- Ensure legislative and company processes and procedures are followed
- Optimization of existing systems - IChris, Kronos, ADP and Carelink
- Prior experience (5 years+) managing a large, complex payroll function
- Proven experience in a large volume environment (min 1,000 employees)
- Experience leading a payroll team
- Understanding of industrial relations, ability to interpret awards and agreements and current employment legislation
- Prior involvement in system upgrades or implementations
- Working knowledge of iChris, Kronos, ADP and Carelink would be advantageous
