**The opportunity**

As part of the Environment & Sustainability team the Shop Assistant
- RRC provides a quality service to all residents and customers in regards to the provision of recycling and resource recovery. We are seeking a suitably experienced and motivated professional to join our growing and freshly restructured Environment & Sustainability team as a casual Shop Assistant - Resource Recovery Centre for 32 hours per fortnight, worked Saturday & Sunday.

The primary objective of the role is to assist the Shop Supervisor with sales activities at the Resource Recovery Centre (aka Drop N Shop) so that recycling and resource recovery is optimised and cost effective.

**The successful applicant must have**
- Experience in retail sales and customer service.
- A preference for working in outdoor settings.
- Sound mathematical skills with an ability to tender correct change to customers.
- Strong communication skills that grant an ability to deal with a wide range of people.
- A natural inclination to provide a high level of customer service.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices and requirements.
- A commitment to recycling and resource recovery.

You must possess a current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence and produce a police clearance that is less than 3 months old.
